We have four new reports on our Travel Grants page, sent by up and coming young scientists:
- Dr Mohammad Alhadj Ali, who is carrying out research on Juvenile Diabetes who attended the European Association for the Study of Diabetes summer school in Heidelberg.
- Trevor Yeung, a medical oncology research fellow, attended the American Society of Clinical Oncology 2009 Conference in Orlando Florida.
- Dr Lai-Yeung Ngai, who works on Macular Degeneration, the leading cause of permanent blindness in the UK. She attended the European Association of Vision and Eye Research International Meeting, held in Crete in October 2010.
- Jennyfer Goujon, who has been working on developing a novel PNA based molecule to act as a biosensor. She attended the American Chemical Society’s annual meeting in Philadelphia. Last autumn, she was awarded her doctorate for this work.
